Hiking to the caves

We took the kids on the hard but fun hike to see the Timp caves again, the last time we attempted this was 2005 and I had to laugh when I looked at the pictures side by side, the kids are so much bigger, and I really need to get a new hat!!! It was fun though, they did really well, and loved the caves, the rangers thought Trevor was hilarious since he brought his own headlamp to wear in the caves.

WHY?

Just putting this question out to the universe:

WHY is it that only 2o minutes after I clean, wipe, and disinfect the bathroom every neighborhood boy (including my own) has to use it? It's like my clean toilet is singing out to them, "Please use me, forget to flush, don't worry about peeing with the lid down and looking while you pee, and PLEASE don't think about wasting your precious play time by washing your hands!!!"

And some other pictures from lately; playing in the backyard, Trevor's last soccer game (with Daddy as coach), eating smores in the mountains on Memorial Day, and enjoying the spring!

Easter. . . Finally!

And finally I have something ready to post (why is the end of the school year so busy???). Here are our Easter Pics. We had a really great Holiday, and yes, I sewed the girls dresses. The first thing I've pretty much ever sewn that's worked, I'm a little proud. I really enjoyed teaching the kids all the week before about the atonement and resurrection of Christ. What a great blessing in my life to teach these precious little ones about something so amazing and true, I'm truly blessed!

Preschool Pals

I've been doing a neighborhood Preschool with Taylor this year called Preschool Pals. There are 6 girls and the Mom's trade off having it at our homes twice a week and teaching about a letter and number, etc. I always love what they talk about when they are all sitting at the table cutting and coloring. Here is today's feature:

C: I had a lot of runny noses cause of my INFECTIONS, in my body.

K: I once had a potty inflection.

All Girls: EEEEWWWWWW!!!!!

K: Yay, it was pretty bad. When you have a potty inflection you have to pee in a cup!

All Girls: Silence, thoughtful faces.

K: They had to give me a shot.

C: Once I had a shot in my BONE!

T: I hate shots!

K: YOU don't want to know where they give you a shot when you have a potty inflection!!!

All Girls: Thoughtful looks again.

H: Can we change the channel now? (I'm assuming this means talk about something different)

All Girls: Giggle, Giggle, Laugh

They are so funny, what a great place to live in and have a group like this!

Happy Mother's Day

I have so many wonderful women in my life. I just wanted to thank you all for being such strong leaders for me to follow. I'm so lucky to have wonderful Grandmas and fun memories with them as a little girl. I have 2 awesome sisters who constantly show me what great women they are. I have a wonderful Mother in law who raised an incredible son for me to have a family with. And I am truly humbled as I try this "motherhood thing", for how much my Mom has done for me and continues to do for me. Thank you all for being the AMAZING Women you are!

Brick Wall

My neighbor told me about this neat place to take photos near us, how fun was this! Even though I had 10 minutes and I had to help a lady jump her car during that time, we had fun playing. And it only took a bag of gummy bears to bribe the kiddies!
