Taylor's Dance Recital

This last week was Taylor's first dance recital. She did great. She was a munchkin and her teacher was Glenda from Wizard of Oz. She wasn't nervous or shy at all, and loved every minute of dressing up and hearing applause. I had a lot of fun taking her pictures, what is cuter than a little ballerina?

Puddles

She's just like her brother, always finding the puddles!
Taylor talked Dad into taking her training wheels off a couple weeks ago, then he went out of town for work. While he was gone she got it and was so excited to show him when he got home. This is her first day riding with them off after she figured it out. My favorite part is that Baily thinks she can chase after her and push her bike. May have worked with the training wheels, but Baily can't really keep up now! (I love at the end when Taylor says, "Hi Sister Leloux" to BROTHER Leloux, our neighbor walking down the street.

Got it!

Yes, after many attempts and bribes to get her to let me curl her hair, I think I got the pic of Taylor that I want for my wall. Love the light in an open garage!

Hiking to the caves

We took the kids on the hard but fun hike to see the Timp caves again, the last time we attempted this was 2005 and I had to laugh when I looked at the pictures side by side, the kids are so much bigger, and I really need to get a new hat!!! It was fun though, they did really well, and loved the caves, the rangers thought Trevor was hilarious since he brought his own headlamp to wear in the caves.

WHY?

Just putting this question out to the universe:

WHY is it that only 2o minutes after I clean, wipe, and disinfect the bathroom every neighborhood boy (including my own) has to use it? It's like my clean toilet is singing out to them, "Please use me, forget to flush, don't worry about peeing with the lid down and looking while you pee, and PLEASE don't think about wasting your precious play time by washing your hands!!!"

Yep folks, it's the first day of summer break . . .
