Garden Harvest

It's really rough eating our garden food right now!:) I'm loving our tomatoes and basil. And the cucumbers are great, I love to make them like my Grandma; peel, slice, put in a bowl with vinegar, ice cubes, salt and pepper and let them sit for a little bit, it's like a crunchy cool yummy pickle, mmmmm!

Back To School

Can't really believe it's time already, but we are back to school for Trevor now. He just started first grade and I think he enjoys it, but it's "as long as 3 Kindergartens put together!" He just loves to play at home, so being gone all day is hard, but good for him! Taylor starts preschool in another week.

Bye Grandpa

My Grandpa passed away last week. His funeral was very nice, I'm glad I got to go. Here is his obituary. I'll miss you Grandpa. Thanks for all the motorcycle rides and for not killing Emily and I when we played for an hour running all over the oats and squashing them, boy was that itchy!

Colorado

Here are some pictures from our fun trip to see family in Colorado. It's always great to get back there and breathe that awesome mountain air! We enjoyed an evening running around on the golf course, it brings back great memories of swamp water from the sprinklers and getting hit in the forehead with a golf ball (thanks Em!:)
Happy Birthday Landon (Emily's boy), he enjoyed the ice cream cake (so did I!).

AND, Happy birthday Mandy! (She also enjoyed the ice cream cake!)
Taylor and cousin Stephanie.
Trevor and cousin Tyler.
Baily and Grandma Sanders

One of Trevor's high lights; finding frogs in the window wells in Brighton, I think they found around 6 toads, EEEEEWWWW!!! Yay, we left them in Brighton!
Yay, Ian, sure, she looks nothing like you!
Run Grandma, run!
Em, you make a beautiful Mommy!

Grandpa Taylor always does a "Bear Hunt" with the kiddies, it includes lots of running, growling, following a map, and LOTS of candy! They love it!
He's just so cute Em, had to put this one up too!
Trevor and Russell, or as we like to call them "Fire and Dynamite: All Boy, All Trouble".
Grandma Taylor and Baily. Thanks everyone it was fun seeing you all!

We're Back!

We're back from a great trip to see all our family in beautiful Colorado. So far today I haven't gotten to any of the MANY pictures I took because I had to get the oil changed in the car, Taylor to a birthday party, took the kids to the pool, Baily managed to cut her lip, and slice up the bottom of her foot in a 10 minute interval, Taylor helped the neighbor girl break someone else's glass figurine so I went on a hunt for super glue, while I was hunting Trevor and his friend decided to make a fire pit in the middle of our lawn by hacking out a circle of our sod and putting rocks around, and after finally getting the kids bathed and to bed, went downstairs to find water dripping into our den from the ceiling? Not sure how that happened but it's slowed for now so I'm thinking Trevor did something while in the bath, just not sure what yet. ANYWAY, will get to other great pictures of our trip soon, hopefully:)

Lately

Here's what we've been doing lately. . .

Don't ever buy the cheap glitter hats at Target, my kids have had glitter heads for 3 weeks!

Growing a garden; have great carrots, tons of green tomatoes, our first zucchini and peppers, and hopefully soon: cucumbers, squash, beans, and pumpkins.
Most kids sell lemonade in the summer, not mine, he tries to sell his rocks door to door and ends up making $1.73! (73 cents from his Dad and I)
Who said kids need fancy toys, we had the entire neighborhood spend a solid hour in our front yard making a teeter totter from wood and an old wagon!

And Daddy loves:)
